This Saturday, Monster Fest

Located a little over an hour from the center of Richmond, you will find Monster Fest 6, at the Chesapeake Library. This
is an annual event, free to families by Rob & Phyllis Floyd. This Saturday, October 10, beginning at 9:00AM.
Monster Fest is a carnival like atmosphere featuring monsters, horror, film and literature, with each passing year larger
than the year before. You will find costume contests, guest speakers, paranormal teams, discussion panels, monster-
themed artwork, spooky displays and various activities for children. Included in this mix, are vendors with varying
Monster Fest is a family event and free of charge. This year’s charity is The Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia, so
please bring a non-perishable food item.
At Monster Fest you will find CVAPI (Central Virginia Paranormal Investigations) where you will meet a lot of the team’
s members. They will go over some of the equipment and discuss the various natures of haunts. You will also find some of
Richmond’s local authors to include Pamela Kinney of Haunted Richmond and Haunted Virginia and Beth Brown, author
of Haunted Virginia Plantations and Haunted Battlefields. Monster Fest will open from 9:00AM to 5:00PM, and then
reopen at 7:00PM for show’s that will begin at 8:00PM for an all night movie marathon held in the libraries theater.
